RECAP: Rodhe and Molnar qualify for Div. II state tennis tournament

The West Holmes doubles team of Kate Rodhe and Natalie Molnar mowed down three opponents on their way to the Southeast district girls tennis doubles title on Wednesday, October 7.

OnRodhe and Molnar won the Div. II district at Ohio University in Athens by first beating Stubbe/Gottfriend from Marietta 6-0, 6-4 and in the qualifying match the duo took care of Nestor/Downing from Washington Courthouse 6-3, 6-2.

In the final then Rodhe and Molnar finished their run off with a 6-1, 6-3 convincing win over Logan Elm.

They came into the district as its number one seed. Rodhe and Molnar will advance to the state tournament in Cincinnati on Friday as the 1st seed from the Southeast district.

Erin Stitzlein and Cassidy Mohler, the second seed in the tournament, defeated the third seed from the Southeast Unioto’s Sprague and Valentine 6-4, 4-6, 6-0

In the qualifying match Stitzlein/Mohler lost to the first seed from the Southeast, Logan Elm’s Willard/Ward 6-3 6-3
