On Sept. 16 the West Holmes Knights traveled to Ashland’s Community Stadium for the opening Ohio Cardinal Conference game of the season in week four. The Knights put up over 300 yards rushing on the ground, but were unable to convert on enough drives and lost to the Arrows 35-7.

West Holmes (0-4) got 148 yards on the ground from Cale Ogi on just 10 carries. Garrett Ervin rushed 26 times for 121 yards creating a two-headed monster for the Knights. Keagan Armitage completed 9 of 13 passes for the Arrows (2-2) and threw four touchdown passes. Armitage is filling in for injured starter Grant Denbow.

The Knights got some quality quarterback play from Bridger Cline who got some snaps in the second half against Ashland and threw for 79 yards.

Up next the Arrows will play the 4-0 Wooster Generals who so far this season have looked like world-beaters. The Knights will have the Madison Rams in Millersburg in week five as it is Homecoming week at WHHS.
