The Malone University men’s golf “B” team wrapped up competition at the University of Mt. Union’s Purple Raider Invitational on Sunday at Tannenhauf Golf Course in Alliance, Ohio.
The Pioneers, competing as individuals with no team score, had three players finish among the event’s Top 10. Robert Maloney II (Worthington Christian H.S.) and Daniel Mosher (St. Thomas Aquinas H.S.) tied for sixth overall with two-day totals of 147. Cody Mast (Garaway H.S.) was right behind, tying for eighth with a score of 148.
Mark Schlabach (Hiland H.S.), Vincent Leone (Canfield H.S.) and Kyle Barnett (Teays Valley H.S.) all tied for 18th with scores of 153. Chris Koza (Tallmadge H.S.) finished in a tie for 46th with a score of 160 while Ryan Sikora (Avon H.S.) tied for 55th with a 162.
The Malone “A” team begins competition on Monday in the first NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament of the year at Harborside International Golf Course in Chicago, Illinois.
