Lady P’s senior Madison Steiner earned Second-Team All-Ohio honors this season, and she was a rock this season for the 15-9 Lady Pirates. Steiner was a huge part of that, serving as the team’s everyday first baseman, where her defense helped solidify a tremendously talented infield. At the plate, the sweet-swinging lefty served as a main cog in a brutal Garaway lineup. How consistent was the slugging first baseman? She recorded either two hits or an extra base hit in 17 of Garaway’s 24 games. Her three hits versus Conotton Valley helped this year’s edition set a school record of 26 hits in a game.
