On Thursday Nov. 19 four Lady Knights committed to taking their games to the next level. At West Holmes High School’s Media Center in front of family and friends, a pair of Lady Knights’ volleyball players and two basketball standouts signed their names on the dotted line.

West Holmes senior middle hitter Raichelle Erman was first up on the agenda committing to play volleyball at the Edinboro University in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Next up was the All-Ohio setter for Jim Park’s volleyball team at West Holmes, his daughter, Cara Park. Cara Park committed to The University of Akron during her sophomore season at West Holmes, but made it official on Thursday. This season she became just one-of-three players in the history of the OHSAA to record 3,000 assists.

Up to the signing table next were basketball seniors Hannah Clark and Brittleigh Macaulay. Both were part of the Lady Knights’ 2014-15 Div. II State Championship team and will begin another season under head coach Lisa Patterson on Saturday Nov. 21 against Canton Hoover.

Clark will be attending Northern Kentucky University and will be a part of the women’s basketball team under the direction of Dawn Plitzuweit.

Macaulay will be playing basketball at Ohio Dominican University next winter. Last season the Panthers were 11-14 under coach Lynsey Warren.

Again, we’ll have full recaps for each athlete soon on ohiosportsticket.com.
